Taura Syndrome Virus Detection and Prevention for Shrimp Farming (TSV)

Introduction:

TSV was first reported in Ecuador 1992, and caused severe impact on the L. vannamei culture industry till now. This single strand RNA virus spread widely not only in America but also in Asia where L.vannamei is becoming popular. Recently, TSV infection was also reported on P. monodon, L.stylirostris and P. japonicus.

Therefore, TSV screening and prevention are very important for shrimp farming industry worldwide. The IQ2000^TM TSV Detection and Prevention System is the best molecular diagnosis system for Taura Syndrome Virus. A very thorough analysis was conducted to ensure TSV strains isolated from different geographic regions could be detected by this system. As RNA is more difficult than DNA in extraction and handling, we designed a RNA internal control for this system to avoid the potential false negative result. To date, IQ2000^TM TSV Detection and Prevention System is the only TSV detection system available on the market with internal control and semi-quantitative design.
