Introduction:

 

Mourilyan virus (MoV), a newly identified bunya virus-like virus that infects penaeid prawns, was first found in Queensland, Australia by Dr. Peter Walker's group at CSIRO.  This virus can infect both Penaeus monodon and Penaeus japonicus prawns, and the infected animals were found from the wilds or commercial farms in Australia.  Although the impact of this virus to the shrimp culture industry is still under investigation, the recent research results indicate that it may associate with the gut-and-nerve syndrome (GNS).

IQ2000TM MoV Detection and Prevention System is the first and only commercialized diagnostic system for this pathogen. It can detect and identify of this new pathogen efficiently, and it's your best choice for research or SPF project. The knowledge about the nature of MoV and its RNA sequences were originated from the research of CSIRO, Australia.
