Iridovirus
Detection and Prevention for
Marine Fish
Farming (Iridovirus)
|
|
Introduction:
|
|
|
Iridoviruses have caused ecological and economic impacts on
marine fish farming in recent years. Pathogenic Iridovirus was isolated from diseased
grouper (Epinephelus hybrid), giant seaperch (Lates calcarifer),
largemouth bass (Micropterum salmoides), king grouper (Epinephelus
lanceolatus), spotted butter fish (Scatophagus argus), yellow-wax
pomfrat (Trachinotus blochii), goldlined seabream (Sparus sarba),
humpback grouper (Chromileptes altivelis) and Mangrove red snapper (Lutjanus
argentimaculatus). The virus causes
severe
mortality in cultured grouper fry.
IQ2000TM Irido Detection and Prevention System is the first
viral diagnostic system specially designed for marine fish by Farming
IntelliGene. This system has adopted the design of Nested PCR and also
inherited the reliability, sensitivity and experience from a range of
IQ2000TM viral diagnostic kits for shrimp and fish viral infections.
IQ2000TM Irido has an
effective and reproducible
detection limit of 10 viral copies
while in most cases digit copy of virus can
also be detected. IQ2000TM irido offers you the best tool for the prevention
of Iridovirus infection.
